Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

• Lessons are booked as a recurring weekly time slot.
• Payment is due monthly in advance by bank transfer.
• Your monthly payment secures your child's weekly lesson time. This time is reserved exclusively for your child and cannot be offered to another student.
• An invoice will be issued before the start of each month and payment should be received before the first lesson of that month.

2. Cancellation and Rearranging Lessons

• If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.
• Lessons cancelled with 48 hours' notice will be rearranged where possible, subject to availability.
• Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice cannot be rearranged or refunded, as the lesson time has been reserved specifically for your child.

3. Tutor Cancellations

If I need to cancel a lesson for any reason, I will provide as much notice as possible. The lesson will either be rearranged at a mutually convenient time or credited towards your following month's invoice.

4. Attendance and Session Entry

• Please ensure your child is ready to begin at the scheduled lesson time.
• Only the specific student allocated to the designated scheduled time slot is permitted to enter and attend the lesson. No family, friends, or additional individuals are allowed to accompany or join the student.
• Lessons will finish at the agreed time, even if your child joins or attends late.
• If a student is more than 15 minutes late without prior communication, the lesson may be cancelled.

5. Online/Face-to-Face Lessons

• Lessons are delivered via Google Meet or face to face.
• All work will be stored in the student’s Google Classroom.
• Please ensure your child comes to each lesson with a pencil case.
• If the lesson is online, please ensure your child has access to a suitable device and a reliable internet connection.
• Technical difficulties on the student's side may reduce lesson time and cannot always be made up.

6. Homework

Homework may be set after each lesson where appropriate to reinforce learning and support progress. Please ensure all homework is completed and submitted no later than the day before your child's next lesson. This allows sufficient time for work to be marked and personalised feedback to be prepared, ensuring lesson time can be used as effectively as possible.

7. Communication

Parents are welcome to contact me via email or WhatsApp with any questions regarding their child's tuition. I aim to respond within one working day during normal working hours.

8. Safeguarding

Student welfare is my highest priority. All lessons are delivered in accordance with my Safeguarding Policy, and tuition is conducted professionally, respectfully and in a safe face-to-face/online environment.

9. Ending Tuition

• Either party may end ongoing tuition by giving two weeks' written notice.
• No refunds will be given for lessons that have already been paid for. If you choose to end tuition after payment has been made for the month, lessons will continue until the end of the paid period or until all prepaid lessons have been delivered.
• If tuition is ended by the tutor, any lessons that have been paid for but cannot be delivered will either be refunded in full or credited towards future tuition.

10. Examination Results

Every student is different. While I provide high-quality teaching, resources and support, I cannot guarantee specific examination grades or outcomes. Success depends on attendance, effort, independent study and engagement outside lessons.

11. School Holidays

Regular tuition helps maintain progress and ensures continuity of learning. However, please note our updated schedule for school breaks:

• My own planned holidays will be communicated well in advance, and you will not be charged for any lessons that I am unable to deliver.

12. Fees

Tuition fees may be reviewed annually. You will receive at least one month's written notice of any changes to lesson fees.

13. Recording Lessons

Lessons may not be recorded, photographed or shared without prior written permission.

14. Acceptance

Payment for tuition confirms that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

15. Intellectual Property

• All lesson materials, worksheets, presentations, model answers, videos and other resources provided by Prosper Educators remain the intellectual property of Yusra unless otherwise stated.
• Resources are provided solely for the personal educational use of the enrolled student. They must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, uploaded, shared, sold or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
• Any unauthorised sharing of resources, including on social media, websites or file-sharing platforms, may result in tuition being withdrawn without refund.

16. Confidentiality

Lesson materials and communications are intended solely for the enrolled student and their parent or guardian. Please do not share lesson links, Google Classroom access codes or teaching materials with anyone outside your household.

17. Data Protection

• Prosper Educators collects and uses personal information relating to parents/carers and students for the purposes of providing tutoring, managing lessons, monitoring academic progress, administering payments and fulfilling legal obligations.
• Personal information will be handled in accordance with UK data protection law.
• Further information about how personal information is collected, used, stored and retained is provided in the Prosper Educators policy, which is available on request.
• Parents/carers should ensure that information provided to Prosper Educators is accurate and should notify me of any relevant changes. Photographs, testimonials or other identifiable student information will not be used for public marketing purposes without appropriate permission.
